Tadelakt Soap Tierrafino Stone

Tierrafino Stone Tadelakt is a water-proof, shiny lime-based plaster for interior and exterior use, supplied as a powder. Tierrafino Stone's strength and marble-like appearance make it ideal for bathrooms, fireplaces, table-tops, stairways, pillars and other ornamental use.
This beautiful finish follows the old Moroccan "Tadelakt" tradition. Tadelakt, freely translated, means to rub in. In this case it is meant that the nearly finished lime coat is polished with a stone, rubbing Tadelakt soap into the surface. The Tadelakt soap, which is based on pure olive oil, adds to the shine, but perhaps even more important, it makes sure the surface is left waterproof.

Area of Application
Tadelakt soap is a natural soap, which makes Tadelakt waterproof by way of saturation. Tadelakt soap is also suitable to treat cement-, Terazzo- and wooden floors with. Tadelakt soap cleans your whole house, it is soft and very friendly for the human body and its environment.

Characteristics
Tierrafino Stone Tadelakt surfaces are sealed off by several treatments with Tadelakt soap.

Colour
Transparent ochre.

Article number 5.3031 - 500 gram packed in a small transparent jar with lid.

Storage
Do not store in a warm space. Tadelakt soap is infinitely useable with storage in a refridgerator.

Dosage
500 gram Tadelakt soap is sufficient for 25 square meters of Tierrafino Stone Tadelakt surface.

Application
Tadelakt soap is applied at a cold or luke warm temperature.

Tadelakt soap can be applied with a brush, sponge, water spray or with hand.

Mix Tadelakt soap with water; 1 part soap 12-20 parts water. Stir well. Between 6-24 hours after applying Tierrafino Stone Tadelakt apply the soap to the wall and gently polish the Tadelakt whilst feeling a film of soap between the stone and the plaster. This can be repeated with pauses in between. Always rub excessive soap dry with hand or with a soft cloth. Never leave soap water to dry on Tadelakt.

Other applications
As a caring product for wood, gypsum, lime, cement and stone. Very friendly for the human skin and useable as hand and body soap.

Cleaning Tierrafino Stone Tadelakt
Tierrafino Stone Tadelakt should always be cleaned with Tadelakt soap in the future. Not only does the soap clean the surface but it will be absorbed by the lime and maintains its waterproofness.
